Guide Hachette 2012
The name of this new wine 2007 needs to be explained. It perfectly shows the complicity of the three friends who have invested in this prestigious appellation. They are all well-known in Bordeaux area and their name can be quoted : Johan Micoud, (former French international football player), Matthieu Chalmé (football player of the Girondins team) and Alexandre de Malet Roquefort (owner of the Château la Gaffelière, 1st classified growth “B” in St Emilion).
These “three Musketeers” make a tonitruante entry in the Guide with this superb wine and its intense Bordeaux cape. The nose, already very expressive, combines fresh fruits, sweet spices and a soft woody tast. The mouth, full of delicious fruity notes, offers a lot of vivacity and generosity, with excellent young tannins full of promises. This is undoubtedly a wine for ageing, to keep in a cellar for at least 5-6 years and drink with a rack of lamb and its fried ceps.
